After the success of Ayra Starr’s debut EP “Ayra Starr,” & her debut album “19 & Dangerous,” fans have been awaiting her sophomore album. The wait is finally over, as Ayra Starr has announced her sophomore album “The Year I Turned 21.” Set for release on the 31st of May. The tracklist for “The Year I Turned 21” is out, and it features a solid lineup of prominent artists from the music industry. The upcoming album and recent releases is a testament to her growth as an artist.
She also revealed the album cover, showcasing herself leaning out of a red convertible with her windswept curly hair showing off her elegant floral dress. She also shared the tracklist for the 14-track album. Featuring collaborations with Asake (“Goodbye (Warm Up)”), Anitta and Coco Jones (“Woman Commando”), Giveon (“Last Heartbreak Song”) etc.
Her previously released singles “Commas” and “Rhythm & Blues” will also be included on the album.
Back in February in an interview with Billboard News, Ayra Starr said “The Ayra Starr I want to introduce is excellent, sonically amazing. This album is unique, because I’ve been evolving sonically.”
