The American rapper. Cole, the headliner of the fourth annual Dreamville Festival, apologized for his recent Kendrick Lamar diss track, titled “7 Minute Drill,” during his closing set on Sunday. J. Cole addressed the crowd and expressed his regret for releasing the track, confirming he had no actual beef with Lamar.
In his speech, J.Cole revealed feeling pressured into responding to Lamar’s “Like That” verse and confirmed that he harbors no beef with Kendrick. He also expressed regret for releasing the track, labeling it the “lamest, goofiest sh*t” he’s ever done in his life.
J.Cole apologized for his “7 Minute Drill” track, which criticized Lamar for referencing the 2013 “Control” verse and more. However, J.Cole has now made it clear that he has no issues with Kendrick and regrets releasing the diss track.
The 2024 Dreamville Festival took place on April 6-7 in Raleigh, NC, for its fourth iteration, with headliners including J. Cole, SZA, Nicki Minaj, and 50 Cent, among others. Thousands of fans attended the festival, enjoying sets from Lil Yachty, ScHoolboy Q, Sexyy Red, Jeremih, Teezo Touchdown, Amaarae, Luh Tyler, Domani, Rema, Jeezy, Monica, Rae Sremmurd, Key Glock, TiaCorine, Chase Shaku, and the rest of the Dreamville roster.
