Fireboy DML Unveils His 4th Studio Album “Adedamola”

After a long wait, Nigerian singer and songwriter Fireboy DML has officially released his fourth studio album, “Adedamola.” Named after his own birth name, the album comes as a highly anticipated follow-up to his third album, “Playboy.” Fans have been eagerly awaiting something new and exciting from him, and “Adedamola” promises to deliver just that.

“Adedamola” features a list of 14 tracks, including his previously released singles such as “Yawa,” “Obaa Sima,” and “Everyday.” The album opens with “Iseoluwa,” “Call Me,” “Ecstasy,” “Hell and Back,” and others too. Notably, the album also showcases collaborations with prominent artists including Seun Kuti, Lagbaja, Lojay, DJ Spinall, and Jon Batiste.

The album definitely portrays a “sonic journey” that reflects his personal experiences and artistic growth. From the title, the project holds a nostalgic significance for him, as it is a call to his roots, hence the title “Adedamola,” which is his birth name. Olamide, a leading figure in the music scene also plays a crucial role in the project as being part of the executive producer and A&R.

He has since released three successful albums: “Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps” (2019), “Apollo” (2020), and “Playboy” (2022). With “Adedamola,” Fireboy aims to further solidify his status as a prominent figure in the music scene, continuing to resonate with listeners through his infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics.
